Veterinary Science

The Veterinary Science course prepares students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue entry-level employment as veterinary assistants or continue their education and advanced training in the veterinary field. Students gain a strong foundation in animal health, clinical practices, and veterinary care while developing skills that connect classroom learning to real-world veterinary settings.

Throughout the course, students explore essential topics including workplace safety, medical terminology, scientific classification, animal health and disease, anatomy and physiology, and applied clinical mathematics. Students are also introduced to anesthesiology, basic surgical procedures, veterinary law and ethics, business management practices, and the use of technology in veterinary medicine. Through hands-on learning and practical applications, Veterinary Science helps students build the technical knowledge, professionalism, and confidence needed to take the next step toward a rewarding career working with animals.
