Cosmetology and Barbering

Welcome to the Cosmetology & Barbering Academy! 

Cosmetology involves the science of improving beauty through the care and treatment of skin, hair, and nails. Tuscaloosa Career & Technology Academy Cosmetology Program students will learn all aspects of hair, nails, and skin care. In addition, students will enhance technical skills and experience hands-on learning by participating in the salon. In the salon, students will practice their skills with clients from the community by scheduling appointments, sanitizing equipment, performing services, and keeping accurate records.
